The next issue of Netrikann talks about Mrs. Christober’s
appointment as the Principal of the Dental college of C.S.I. Since the whole article is fully ‘devoted’ to her, I thought the
blog better be off without a copy of it.
However the article claims that her posting is questionable.
It appears that it is a family trait, achieving the ends thru improper means.

This week's artilce in NETRIKANN
This week’s article has charted these following things:
* Since there
is an option for the TamilNadu Govt to take over the college, chrisober is even
planning to run off from the country.
* Alagappa University, where from christober got his Ph.D. is
to have a new Vice-Chancellor. Christober is vying to help the aspirants with
money ( one crore rupees )so that he can later get his degree problem solved. The
article gives even two names of the aspirants.
* The first accusation the college administration had against
the bishop – trying to sell college property for some outsiders – is cropping
up again.
* Christober is trying to sell some shops that the college
has and trying to fill his coffers.
Without the permission of the TN Govt christober has gone
abroad twice.

There is history of Tamilnadu Government taking over private Colleges. Raja Sarfoji College, Tanjore is one and Raja Durasingam Memorial (RDM) College in Sivaganga is another. Both were possible with strong teacher union. MUTA in the second case. However with American College it may not happen because of minority rights enjoyed by the College and there is no unity among the faculty. It may not be possible to sell properties of the College without getting into legal troublse for the same reason. Holding possession with the help of "gundas" is possible. People in Madurai old students and honest faculty will have to be alert.
ReplyDeleteI wish to publicly acknowledge and appreciate the good work done by the magazine, 'Nettrikkan' in laying bare several misdeeds of Davamoni and his wife and the way they have been systematically ruining the great and noble institutions like the American College, without any sense of shame or guilt. These articles have been full of facts and figures to back up the claims made.
ReplyDelete'Nettrikkan's sincere efforts to make the people know the truth and also to sensitize them to the need for concerted and bold action to put an end to this reign of evil have come as a morale booster for all those involved in the struggle to protect the College.
Let us grab this opportunity to present a united front and fight with renewed vigor and determination to achieve the goal of saving the College, driving out the evil forces.

ReplyDeleteI am kingson selvaraj. I was a silent supporter of the American college blogspot. Now I am openly commenting on the happenings of our college. Former principal and my beloved professor Dr. Chinnaraj Joseph initiated a noble protest against the atrocities and the interference of the Madurai and Ramnad Diocese into our college. I am also a victim of the atrocities of the Diocese, simply because my mum served as a teacher in one of the schools in it. I am going to throw light into the systematic, popular and usual strategies, which could be used by the diocese in pursuing power and money, in future. Please stay with me and in tune with me.
