An advocate representing DMK leader and Union Minister M.K. Alagiri and his family members, against whom summons have been issued, appeared before District Collector U. Sagayam here on Wednesday.
Following a complaint from an agriculturist, that in the process of constructing a college owned by the trustees of M.K. Alagiri Education Trust near Tirumangalam, water sources surrounding the location had been allegedly destroyed, the revenue authorities had summoned the trustees.
The advocate, Janakiramulu, told reporters that he had sought a list of documents from the authorities.
The inquiry went on for about an hour, officials said.

CSI Bishop

In another petition addressed to the Collector by R. Satyamurthi, an advocate, alleging that the CSI Bishop had sold a portion of land intended for destitutes and women in distress for commercial purposes, an inquiry was held on Tuesday, officials said.

According to the complainant, the government allotted 30 acres in 1912 to the CSI administration on the condition that it would be exclusively used for destitutes and women in distress.
In 2008, the Bishop allegedly sold six acres in Ratchanyapuram K. Pudur to four persons.

Supported by documents that transactions had been carried out, the complainant's advocate furnished copies to Mr. Sagayam and prayed for cancellation of the transaction and retrieval of the land.
The next course of action would be made known soon and the matter was adjourned, officials added.
