HARI NARAYANAN (HARI CHENGALATH) was an alumnus and faculty. Untimely death has snatched him away from us. He continued to have great interest in our college. Very recently he started a page in Face Book, a group for the lovers of our college. Many of our bloggers feel so sad about his untimely death.

The pictures bring back fond and pleasant memories of Hari. It is very difficult to believe that he is no longer with us. He was a brilliant student, talented artist and above all a fine human being always attached to his Alma Mater.

There was a time when I was the editor of the bulletin of the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT). It was a monthly publications. I used to request PG English students of the College to write the editorial for the different issues suggesting to them the themes for each month. Hari was one among those who wrote couple of those editorials. The editorials wwere well appreciated by the readers during those days. I feel sorry that Hari is no more. VS

திரு. ஹரி நாராயண் எனக்கு இரண்டு செமஸ்டர்கள் பாடம் எடுத்தார் மிகவும் எளிமையான அறிவுஜீவி.மதுரை வந்தாலே, பிரபாவைப்பார்க்கும் சாக்கில், கல்லூரிக்குள் காலடி எடுத்துவைக்காமல், சென்னை திரும்பாத வழக்கம் கொண்டிருந்த நான், கல்லூரியில் குழப்பம் நடக்கத்துவங்கிய பிறகு,அந்தப்பக்கம் வருவதை நிறுத்தியிருந்தேன்.’தருமியை’ ரெகுலராக தரிசிக்கும் நான் இன்று காலை தற்செயலாக இந்தப்பதிவுக்குள் வந்தபோதுதான் ஹரி சாரின் இழப்புசெய்தியை தெரிந்துகொண்டேன். வகுப்புக்களை பெரும்பாலும் மரத்தடிகளிலேயே நடத்துவார். எல்லா மாணவர்களுக்கும் கணேஷ் டீ ஸ்டாலிலிர்ந்து தனது சொந்தச்செலவில் டீ வரவைப்பார்.ஆங்கிலம் தெரியாமல் இருப்பதனால் மட்டும், ஒருவன் திறமைசாலி இல்லை என்று ஆகிவிடாது என்று எனக்கு தன்னம்பிக்கை ஊட்டியவர்.அவர் போட்ட நாடகமொன்றில் என்னை ஒரு சிறு பாத்திரத்தில் நடிக்கவைத்தார்.அந்த நாடகத்தில் க்ளெண் சேட்லியர் என்ற இராணிய மாணவர் முக்கிய பாத்திரத்தில் நடித்தார்.
