This struggle has seen different types of people- fierce loyalists, cunning traitors, shameless stooges, sickening sycophants, notorious neutrals and indifferent intellectuals.
In the first category, special mention must be made of the Management staff- both the Faculty and particularly the non-teaching staff like, gardeners, watchmen, cooks, office and lab.assistants. Right from the beginning till now, they have provided a shining example of steadfast loyalty to the College against heavy odds.They have been a source of inspiration to others.
These people, who are mostly uneducated and with a very low income have solidly stood by the College through thick and thin. Their unswerving loyalty to the institution, exhibited so clearly and continuously all these three years, with no salary for the past eleven months is truly remarkable. Neither threats nor baits could shake their resolve even a bit.
It is unfortunate that now, when the aided staff have received a month' salary, these people have not received their's. Now is the time to help and support them in every possible way. Under no circumstances and on no account should they, (not even one) be left to feel neglected or sidelined. It is our moral duty to protect their interests and take care of them because their sacrifice for the College is truly immeasurable and invaluable.

The steadfastness of the non-teaching faculty is simply AMAZING, even unbelievable.

ReplyDeletethese are wonderful words from our dear DSL. i always thinking of them and their great sacrifice for the college. I bow before their steadfast loyalty to the college. not a day passes by without my thoughts for them. i have worked closely with so many of them. i pray they get salary very soon.
ReplyDeleteஅங்கிருக்கும் ஆசிரியர்கள் இங்கு இருந்திருந்தாலும், இங்கிருக்கும் ஊழியர்கள் அங்கு சென்றிருந்தாலும், இப்போராட்டம் என்றோ ஓய்ந்திருக்கும் --ஒன்று விரைந்த வெற்றியாக; பிறிதொன்று தவிர்க்கவொண்ணாத் தோல்வியாக.
ReplyDeleteஇயக்கத்தின் வெற்றிக்கு இவர்களும் கல்லூரியின் மீட்டுருவாக்கத்திற்கு அறிவர். அன்பு துரையின் நிர்வாகமும் பொறுப்பேர்ப்பது ஒரு வரலாற்றுக் கட்டாயமாகும்.
